With more than three decades of clinical experience, Dr. Beatriz Lara brings exceptional expertise in orthodontics and clear aligner treatment to Avondale Dental & Implant Clinic. She is passionate about helping patients of all ages achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalised treatment plans that combine advanced technology with proven clinical techniques. Dr. Lara qualified in Dentistry at the University of Granada, Spain, where she later completed postgraduate training in Endodontics and worked as a teaching assistant. Her early career included experience across hospital dentistry, oral surgery and private practice before she chose to focus her career on orthodontics. Dedicated to continual professional development, Dr. Lara completed a clinical orthodontic residency at the University of British Columbia in Canada and subsequently earned a Master's degree in Biological Dentistry (RMR) in Madrid. She has undertaken extensive postgraduate education in orthodontics and is highly experienced in treating patients with Invisalign® clear aligners, fixed braces and a range of contemporary orthodontic techniques. As a recognised educator, Dr. Lara is a faculty member on the Advanced Diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy, delivered by the University of Bolton and Greater Manchester in collaboration with the City of London Dental School. In this role, she teaches dentists undertaking advanced orthodontic training through lectures, clinical supervision and complex case mentoring. She also works as a Clinical Advisor for Invisalign®, supporting colleagues in delivering predictable, high-quality patient outcomes. Dr. Lara's commitment to excellence has been recognised internationally. She received the Best Invisalign Case Award at the SAFE Symposium of the Aligner Dental Academy in 2024, followed by Invisalign Case of the Month and the prestigious Invisalign Case of the Year 2025 awards for outstanding clinical results. At Avondale Dental & Implant Clinic, Dr. Lara believes every smile should be designed around the individual.
